Virtual Adoption

Marise Checa is solely funded by voluntary donations, and our dog numbers are ever increasing.

Our funds are limited and we have to ensure that we can provide adequate food for the animals, adequate and safe shelter, regular veterinary care, as well as unforeseen veterinary expenses for emergency treatments for sick or injured animals.

You can help us by financially adopting one of our dogs by a “virtual adoption”. We accept that many people love dogs and animals of all kinds, but for whatever the reason are unable to physically adopt a dog into their home.

What do I get for my money?

• A 10” x 8” (25cm x 20cm approx) picture of your adoption animal by regular mail
• An Adoption Certificate by regular mail
• A twice yearly report on your dog and new pictures by email.
• In addition you will also receive our regular monthly newsletter.

Your adoption will continue to run until you choose to cancel your payments.

Should your chosen dog not be available anymore for whatever reason, you will be notified and have the choice to cancel your adoption or select another loving dog for your attention. You will then receive a new picture and certificate.

You could also adopt a dog as a group, maybe with friends, neighbours, and work colleagues for example. Why not get together and adopt more than one dog.

You could buy an adoption for a friend’s birthday or Christmas present. The adoption would run for a full year and then cease (unless of course you choose to buy the adoption again for the following year).

CORPORATE – Do you own a company and are you looking for additional advertising space, why not adopt a dog as your mascot? We will then be happy to advertise your company banner on our links page for a small additional cost.

What does it cost?

You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annually.
