Animales Nunca Nos Abandonan (Animals Never We Abandon) has been in existence since 2003, and is a registered association helping stray and abandoned dogs from Caravaca, Cehegin and surrounding areas, and are a small dedicated group of Spanish and English volunteers who give up much of their spare time to the cause.
 Temporarily they have the use of an abandoned house with some land for the housing of the animals, but this has no electricity and no running water. All water supplies, for drinking water and for cleaning have to be carried up to the Centre in bottles ! 
 As with many Rescue Centres voluntary donations are the sole means of support, no alternative financial help is available, and resources are stretched to their limits. Nevertheless, all of the dogs are cared for, fed and watered, medical attention is received whenever needed, and they are exercised daily by the die hard volunteers, in all weathers (and yes it does rain and snow in Spain) !
