Our Rescue Centre has been in existence for almost five years, helping stray and abandoned dogs from Caravaca, Cehegin and Surrounding areas.
The work was begun originally by Marise Checa, a lady from Caravaca, and is now continued by a small dedicated group of Spanish volunteers who give up much of their spare time to the cause.
The Mayor of Cehegin has temporarily given us a small, abandoned house with some land for the housing of the animals, but this has no electricity and no running water. All water supplies have to be carried up to the Centre in bottles !
As with many Rescue Centres voluntary donations are the sole means of support, no alternative financial help is available, and resources are stretched to their limits. Nevertheless, all of the dogs are cared for, fed and watered, medical attention is received whenever needed, and they are exercised daily by the die hard volunteers, in all weathers (and yes it does rain and snow in Spain) !

If a dog is adopted we will happily arrange for it to be spayed / neutered FREE of charge.
One of our major problems is the lack of space. The Rescue Centre is full to bursting and no more dogs can be helped at this time unless we can find homes for our current residents.
All of our dogs love being with people, and when they see us............
